St.Croix, Point Udall. The End of the Road.

Updated: Jan 9, 2019

Point Udall, Rt.82 St. Croix, USVI

There are no further points east in U.S. and once you've arrived here it seems as if you've stepped onto the edge of the world and all that remains is the vast blue horizon of ocean and sky. If you are looking for nature at it's best, you will find it here. A beautiful stone sculpture adorns the grounds, silent and majestic, look east and stare into the blue abyss. Heaven and earth could not have a more perfect meaning or meeting point. The Point is humbling in it's solitude and serenity. Udall Point will make you feel small but alive. It is a circular in its construction (meaning you can literally drive around it) find your parking space and step out on to what feels like world's end. Buck Island will be in the distance to the north, but to east....nothing but your imagination. The Millenium Monument that decorates Point Udall was erected in 2000 and is a wonderful tribute to the passage of time, human kind past and human kind to come. Should you visit the road to get here is as lovely as the "point" its self. If you're are visiting St. Croix put Point Udall on your list of things to see and do, get there and just breathe it in.
