Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Crocodile for Dinner - Croco Cun Zoo.

It's a small zoo with BIG time memories. Walk among crocodiles, hold and pet snakes, charm birds and see monkeys freely playing in the trees. For kids it's an unforgettable experience. For adults it's riveting, especially walking among unrestrained, non-fenced in crocodiles. Shaded, cool and well informed guides makes your visit all the more entertaining. There are plenty of photo ops, including a Burmese Python, which is yellow in color and well over 7 feet long. I declined that photo op. Seldom can you get this close to animals, be in nature and feel free. The crocodile walk is truly the highlight. Walk through a trail with crocodiles at rest, uncaged, within close proximity and haunting eyes. You'll feel their eyes on you as you walk by, your fate seemingly in the hands or their appetite. Your inner voice will tell you to run but just walk, silently and quickly. The Croco Cun Zoo is a wonderful facility centrally located to Puerto Morelos, Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. A nice benefit is that some of the ticketed proceeds and merchandise sales goes to local wildlife conservation. It's a fascinating visit that offers chance to interact (literally) with wildlife. Have a great time go and you should by all means go.
