La Buena Vida

AH THE GOOD LIFE, IT'S TRUE

Beach Road | Lote 35, Akumal 77710, Mexico

La Buena Vida, the good life translated. It's here, from a horseshoe shaped bar, to great seating for the restaurant that features a classic open air environment to enjoy good food, great drink and inspiring views. La Buena Vida feels like a party, and it is, it's just of your own making. How good of a time you might have depends on you, they've supplied all the environment you'll ever need. The food is an adventure, everything you know and maybe a few dishes you don't. Good times come easy here, so make the best of your visit.

LET ALL OF HALF MOON BAY BE YOURS

Hacienda de la Tortuga 2 y 3 Akumal Norte, Q. Ro, Akumal 77729, Mexico

La Lunita is a bright spot on Half Moon Bay. Once you've ventured north of the tourists from the center of town, take a breath and sit down at La Lunita. Small, quaint and a beautiful ocean/bay, you think you've found the quiet you have been looking for. Located away from the street, the restaurant faces the water and with great eats and cold drinks, it's a great way to pass the time away. The wait staff is fairly young and eager to please. The food is fun and delicious. It's not snooty upscale, but slightly adventurous and very good. The service is fast and competent. It is also cozy and romantic. It always feels like a siesta whether afternoon or evening, Get out of the sun, come into the shade and enjoy the promises of your visit; a full belly, refreshed from a cold drink and a view that is as lovely as any in Akumal. Take the time to enjoy "la vida loca", the good kind.

Que Onda

THINK AUTHENTIC LOCAL EATERY IN A SMALL SLICE OF HEAVEN

Caleta Yalku | Lote 97, 98, 99, Akumal 77760, Mexico

Que Onda, is tucked away in Akumal near the Yalku Lagoon. If you are nearby or in the center of Akumal, make it a point to stop in. If there is a thing such as down home Mexican cooking, it's here. The atmosphere feels like a back porch or back deck, all open air and the living is easy. Friendly wait staff and good food make it worthwhile. We had part family, part wedding party and the restaurant easily accommodated all of us. The one thing I really like about Que Onda, it's honest, it's authentic and it's worthwhile.
